The use of smart cards across different transport modes is gradually being introduced. Not fully implemented, this will eventually be introduced across all public transport meaning:
- No need to carry change
- Tickets can be bought in advance and online using PayPal or Debit/Credit card.
- Smartcards can be used on different modes of transport throughout the day/period of travel – One ticket for all!
- Smartcards decrease boarding time which in turn reduces time to get where you are going.
